On Wednesday, January 18, The Jewish Community Foundation held an event to celebrate the successes of the "Create a Jewish Legacy" program thus far. The more than 200 Legacy donors who made commitments in 2011, as well as the volunteers who worked on behalf of the program, were honored. The event was held at the Plaza of Clayton and was attended by more than 70 guests. The program, hosted by Jewish Federation Chair, Bob Millstone, included hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and celebratory remarks. The program highlighted the tremendous impact of "Create a Jewish Legacy,"a community-wide effort to strengthen our Jewish agencies through planned gifts. It also kicked off the efforts for 2012.

On Wednesday, January 18, Women�s Connection held a retreat for the board and development volunteers. The event was held at the home of Stacy and Greg Siwak. 41 women attended the dinner and program with special guests. Kim Fish, Senior Director of National Women�s Philanthropy from NYC and Jennifer Korach, National Women�s Philanthropy Board Member from Cleveland, Ohio. The evening highlighted trends in women�s philanthropy as well as relationship building and its importance in successful fundraising.

They posed for some photos with items that we had gotten donated by our wonderful residents - letters to soldiers thanking them for service, toys to donate for children and canned goods for the Harvey Kornblum Food Pantry

Crown Center celebrated Hanukkah in Style in 2011. One celebration was sponsored by Crown Center and had our board members helping as volunteers. Our second celebration was planned by Shaare Emeth and had several congregants and their families come to Crown Center and help out! What a great way to end the year.
